The only British pub in Vilnius owned by a Scot, Gary and his wife Svetlana. It is called Tower Gate ( Boksto Vartai ). Boksto 2

Full English ( sorry ) breakfast, fish and chips with malt vinegar, etc

Beers not too bad either & Kiltman did spot a bottle of Deanston behind the bar :)

There seems to have been a general lack of interest in the possibility of a Whisky Tasting Trip to Scotland.... so it's not happening.... yet :)

As you may know some of VH3 are involved in the Lithuanian Whisky Society. Some years ago we organised a short trip to Scotland to visit the home of whisky... another trip is being proposed & all of VH3 are welcome.

At present the suggested dates are: June 2nd to 5th .... 3 nights. This fits with www.ryanair.com who offer flights from Kaunas to Edinburgh as below:

DECEMBER 26th VH3 HASH (BOXING DAY)

The time of our traditional Boxing Day Hash is approaching. As you may recall, it is always held on December 26, and has a traditional route: from the parking at the Applied Arts’ Museum on Arsenalo 3, we go up the Kosciuskos street, then turn left closer to the River Neris, cross the bridge, again turn left and go back along the river to the Green Bridge, then return along the river back to the car parking.

Be there by 11:15. The start will be at 11:30. Cost is 10 lt for beers and drinks.

Lunch will be decided later on. Perhaps it will be at the Erlickas Café, which is situated on the opposite side of the park where we will be meeting, i. e. on Maironio 1 (we will have just to cross a little portion of the park – no more than 200 meters,).

We are looking forward to see as many of you as possible. Remember that it is a good occasion to walk out calories collected during the Christmas time. And besides, you may take your dog too – it will be a good occasion to walk your dog in a nice company and around nice places with beautiful views.

HALLOWEEN HASH - OCTOBER 31st

Hello everyone,

On Sunday, 31 October, there will be a Hash round the Balzio Lake.

How to get there:

Go straight Antakalnis street to Nemencines road past the trolley bus circle, Baltic American Clinic, Plento Baras and further until the double lane road becomes a single lane road. After approximately 900 m, leave the main Nemencines road by turning right to the Balzio gatve. Then go about 4 km straight up to the area of Balzio Lake. On the left you will see the bus circle (now the bus goes further to one more stop, but forget it) and on the right there will be a two or three-storey abandoned concrete house. Still go forward and cross a small rivulet running from the lake, which be visible on your right, and afterwards turn right at once on an unpaved hill – this will be our parking place (in front between you and the lake you will see a wooden cafe).

We will walk/run round the Balzio Lake.

Be there by 11:15. The start will be at 11:30. Cost is 10 lt for beers and drinks.

Perhaps we should remember our car pool – if lifts are required then hopefully somebody will kindly give us a lift.

BIKE & HIKE JUNE 12th

On Saturday June 12th there will be a hike and bike at Rudiskes which is 37k from Vilnius. The event is to help to raise money for a sports hall at the local school.

My Dutch neighbour Wim Brauns is arranging it with help from me and Mike.

There will be trails to suit all types including children ( and me )

Drinks and snacks will be available . If anyone is interested then please do let me know as soon as possible as we need to plan the event. I will then send you more details and directions as to how to get there.

SPRING TIME HASHES (INCLUDING MOTHER'S DAY)

On Saturday we had a social evening at Sue's Indian Restaurant. There were 28 of us, not just hashers.

It was a wonderfully mixed group and we all had a great time. The restaurant worked very hard to serve us all at roughly the same time and I must congratulate Raj and his staff for making the evening go so well.

Now - one for your diaries. On June 12th, a Saturday, there will be a bike and hike out at Buclos which is our neighbours place near to Rudiskes.

There will be trails of different severity, some suitable for children.

The idea is to raise money to build a sports hall for the local school.

More details will be given nearer the time but there will be food and drink I am told and Wim ( the neighbour ) has already got the Dutch embassy on board.

Mike and I will be there helping out so please plan ahead and come and join us.

This coming Sunday 25th April 12.00 we will be having brunch at Uzupis Pizzeria which I am told actually does breakfasts though what they are like I don't yet know.

The Sunday after - 2nd May - which is Mother's Day in Lithuania, there will be a hash, directions to follow later.

SUE'S INDIAN EVENING OUT - APRIL 17th

I was having a Hash House Harriers brunch at Tres Mexicanos today and a very dear friend who I had not seen for a while started to talk about the great evenings we had last year at various restaurants. Between us we decided to do this again, so, the first Evening Munch Bunch will be on Saturday 17th April at 19.00. at Sues Indian Raj.

This is for spouses, family and friends - male and female - and is a lot of good social fun.

A very happy and prosperous New Year from Mike ( Jauciu kaka ) and myself ( Squeeky )

Our favourite Scotsman ( well one of them anyway ) Kiltman will be visiting us next week from Monday to Thursday. So, we thought, how about a mid-week pub hash as we had in the 'old ' days.

Wednesday 13th January 19.00 at Mano Alibi on Totoriu gatve. Let us know whether you will be joining us so that we don't leave for the next pub without you.

ALSO we will be having a ' snow hash ' on Sunday 17th January at our house in Dailides with soup etc to warm you up afterwards. We will be setting a trail through the snowy forest near our house. 12.00 meet to give you more time to get there. Let us know if you will be joining us and whether you need directions. CONGRATULATIONS - VH3 COLONIALS

After a long campaign that started way back in late summer last Sunday (December 6th) brought the Final of the ManoAlibi pub quiz. 10 teams qualified out of around 150 who participated throughout the series.

Despite missing some star team members (me) The Colonials manged a very creditable 5th place... not bad considering the questions etc are in Lithuanian (with English translations).

It is understood that MaryJamPole was in town searching for guidance to help her quest in Mafia Wars :) :)

Enjoy Christmas everyone & please do something with VH£ so that when I return in 18 months it'll still be here :) :) :)

Below are details of Sunday's Hash.... it's in that nice bit of park / wood next to Akropolis.... so no map this week:) Everyone can find Akropolis!!

We are setting the trail with Roma in the Ozo park next to where I live. So it is in the direction of Akropolis: get to the large junction at Akropolis and turn to the right if you come from Kalvariju or Seamens Arena, or to the left if you come from the oposite direction, and go straight forward along Gelvonu st. until you see a mini Maxima on the right side, pass it and park at the parking lot in front of AUTOSERVISAS. Caution - don't go beyond the yellow kiosks on your left.

For those coming by bus No 53, 56, 75 (mini bus No 2 or private bus 62) bus stop 'Gelvonu' - meeting point a few meters ahead.

VH3 HASH NUMBER 333 September 6th

VH3 are 50% towards the dreaded 666 .... or if you are reading in Oz .... 999 ! Yes, it's Hash Number 333 and as promised Kiltman will set a Hash through, round, up and down Kalnu Park. The trail will pass some real spot on photo sites in Vilnius... the Bell Tower... and if no-one has ever see the view from the Hash view on Hill of 333 crosses (well, 3 crosses) then now is your chance.

There is a map attached showing the location..(actually I can't find the map... but it'll appear on the blog later:) ). but it's not really difficult to find... turn right at bottom of Pilies and after 300m where the road turns at 90 degrees go directly forward... might be better to park at the official parking at the 90 degree turn?

Meet at 11:15 for an 11:30 start.

Normal cost of 10 lts per adult to cover drinks etc. Kids free... most of the trail is suitable for kids....

So see you there... remember 90% of VH3 will be walkers and if you get lost then call Kiltman on 8 653 10009.... but if you can't get 300m from the bottom of Pilies then...........

TUESDAY NIGHT QUIZ

Over the summer a few galant members of Vilnius HHH (and assorted others) have gathered at ManoAlibi uder the name 'THE COLONIALS' to participate in the Tueday night Quiz. Starting at 19:00 ish the quiz is mostly attended by Lithuanians with the Colonials being the only English speakers... but the questions are repeated in English...

Unlike the Dubliner Quiz there is no bonus round and no plus / minus points depending on team size... resulting in some quite big teams (which has it's disadvantages as there ain't a lot of space!)

The Colonials do OK.... normally finishing in the top half of the 17 or so teams but we are gradually creeping upwards having finished 2nd last week...

Over a quarter year a first place finish gives a team 5 points, 2nd 4 points down to 5th 1 point. The top 8 over the quarter (Mondays & Tuesdays) go into the final....

Us Colonials only joined in about half way through but we have finished the quarter in 21st place out of over 100 teams...... not too bad....

If anyone is interested in joining The Colonials drop us a mail.... 'fraid it's not really possible for anyone 'just to turn up' due to space restrictions :)

Then the following Sunday (August 30th) we'll have our monthly IRISH BREAKFAST at the Dubliner at 12:00.

Kiltman will arrange a Hash on Sunday September 6th... around the Hill of 3 Crosses....

And then we need volunteers to act as hares through the autumn and winter season.....

Dear Hashers,

This Sunday's hash will be near Liliana's summerhouse in Karaciunai (see the attached map), so that if it rains we would be able to hide under the roof.

How to get there:

Go straight Antakalnis street to Nemencines road past Plento Baras and continue further about 4 km until the road gets narrower (narrows to two lanes instead of four before a small, almost invisible river bridge), then after some another 900 metres turn right to Karaciunu street. Then go about 250 metres and turn right again before the gray fence (you will see several garbage bins on the right), go along the fence another 50 metres and park there in front of the wood.

Be there by 11:15. The start will be at 11:30. Cost is 10 lt for beers and drinks.

You may get there by bus 17 or 39. Hopefully our traditional car pool will be operating, so then if lifts are needed you could agree and meet at the bottom of Pilies before 11:00 (if you come there at 11:02 – you will not find anybody waiting there).

Hokay..... we've been talking about another tour to follow on from the successful Whisky Tour of 2008.... lets have a discussion & see who wants to go where & when...

Lithuania might be in the midst of a great big recession.... but unless the litas is devalued then it makes the UK a very cheap (ish) venue :)

Now Ryanair are flying to Liverpool.... so that suggests the English Lakes might be a good idea.... instead of a Whisky Tour we could have a CAMRA tour (CAMERA = Campaign for Real Ale)....

However, why not book it for 11.30 as normal but warn people about the hour change. Otherwise, smarties will change their clocks and still turn up at 12.30 ( changed time ) rather than 11.30 ( pre-changed time ) ? You could say for example "11.30 new time" or "11.30 - that's after you've changed your clocks" or "12.30 - new time" ( whichever you want ).

And also warn them ( because some still get confused ( North American teachers particularly ) that the clocks move forward from 02.00 to become 03.00 ( and not the other way round! ).

Someone has suggested we set up a FACEBOOK page for Vilnius HHH..... any thoughts on this? Kiltman is quite happy to set it up....

Also it's likely we'll have an AGM (Annual General Meeting) soon.... we haven't had one for sometime.... info to follow....

Also someone offered to set a trail on last Sunday in Feb (21st I think). Anyway that's normally IRISH BREAKFAST.... so the BREAKFAST can be delayed until after the Hash!!!!!

Meet at the Crown Plaza Hotel entrance to the Park (by the German Cemetary) at 11:15 for an 11:30 start.

BURNS NIGHT 2009

The Annual Burn's Night will take place in the Town Hall on January 31st. Kiltman is making the ADDRESS to the HAGGIS :)

Full details can be found at the British Chamber of Commerce website - www.bccl.lt

Tickets are quite expensive at 230 lts each but drinks etc etc are included & it will be a great evening as normal :)

Squeaky has to confirm numbers by JANUARY 15th so the FINAL TIME for VH3 to reserve tickets is JANUARY 14th

Payment is required by January 22nd at the latest (details of BCC bank are on the website or you can give Squeaky cash by January 20th.

THE BIG HASH MEETING

Hi Hashers,

We had a hash meeting last night at the Dubliner to decide whether the hash will continue. 8 people attended and I was very disappointed that none of our Lithuanian hashers came along to support us.

It was decided that we would have a hash on November 16th set by Deep Shag and Squeeky and another on the 23rd November set by either Mary Jam or William. Kiltman will be setting one on the 7th December which is the day after the International Christmas Bazaar at Rotuse and is also Deep Shag's birthday.

Thanks to all those who have offered. Obviously we need more people setting hashes.

One kind person who, at this stage will remain nameless has offered to throw a hogmanay ( New Years Eve ) party and is throwing it open to hashers. You will need to bring a bottle of spirits if that is what you drink.

We are bringing back the credits system so if you set a hash you will get credits and if you attend a hash you will get credits. This means that you can use them to pay for things like social events or T-shirts etc. We will start this in January. There is also talk of a hash Christmas party but we need suggestions for a venue ( place to hold it )

If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions then we would love to hear from you and see you on the hashes.

Next event on Sunday 26 October is an Irish Breakfast at The Dubliner, Dominikonu 6, from 11:30am onwards. Squeaky is booking the table to ensure bacon!

Here is the list of concerts at the Philharmonic. Perhaps if there is a group who would like to go you can get in touch with each other by leaving comments here on the blog. Please use the comments section of this blog entry and don't email as I'm afraid that I have a lot of deadlines at the moment and so can't answer or coordinate by email on this occasion.

Howay hashers,

Hooray to those of you who came for the end of autumn trail at Belmontas. It was superlovely, and the drizzle wasn't too bad at all. The trail was bolstered by caches and cash! Ask what that means at the next event: Irish Breakfast at The Dubliner, Sunday 26 October, Dominikonu 6, 11:30 onwards!

The Hashflash Mary Jam (Pole) took some photos, some of the spectacular HV at the peak of the trail. The photo doesn't do it justice, but if you can get over to the hills before the leaves all leave then do, so pretty! Photos here:

We were holding off sending info whilst waiting for the weather report to come in...and it looks like it's going to be fine. So...BBQ next Saturday starting at 15:00. Should be superfun but do bring a dish of something to contribute and drink.

Autumn programme

I hope you are enjoying a splendid September after your super summer holidays.

We will kick off the next season of VH3 with a BBQ on Saturday 20 September at Dailides kindly organised by Squeaky and JK.

Drinks provided will be wine/softs so bring your own if you prefer something different. If anyone wants to bring a dish of something then that would be great. It will be simple fare, nothing fancy. It will also be open to friends who are not necessarily hashers. All welcome! Should be fun and a great chance to meet new people.

Howay all VH3ers,

The next trail, on Sunday, 20th July, will start at the ski slope at the crossroads of Liepkalnos g and Minsku plentas. Liepkalnos is the road that starts at Ausros Vartu and goes straight out of town, going past the Lokomotivo sports stadium, a graveyard, and continues until it reaches the dual carriageway. At the crossroads turn left and then left again at the first turning, towards the ski slope and restaurant. Hint - it's the only hill nearby!

Car share meet at 11.00 at the bottom of Pilies, be on time!
Be there at 11.15
start walking/running at 11.30 on the dot
10 LT for beer and other refreshments

not sure I can guarantee on-the-hoof catering like Last Virgin!

Hi all,

I name today's event Best H3 trail ever! Thank you Liliana, it was fantastic! We collected blueberries, wild strawberries and the odd mystery mushroom as we went along what I think must have been the slowest trail ever! I just finished eating the berry crumble I made with the fruits of this morning's trail!

Dear Hashers,

This Sunday‘s hash will be near Liliana‘s summerhouse in Karaciunai (see the attached map), so that if it rains we would be able to hide under the roof. And perhaps we will be able to have sausages on fire, if wanted.

How to get there:

Go straight Antakalnis street to Nemencines road past Plento Baras and continue further until the road gets narrower (two lanes instead of four), then after some 900 metres turn right to Karaciunu street (at the turn you will see a big poster advertising Topeliu water sports). Then go about 300 metres and turn right again before the gray fence, go another 50 metres and park there in front of the wood.

Be there by 11:15. The start will be at 11:30. Cost is 10 lt for beers and drinks.

You may get there by bus 17 or 39. I do not know if in summer the car pool will be operating, hopefully somebody will be so kind and go there with car, then – if lifts are required you could meet at the bottom of Pilies before 11:00 (if you come there at 11:02 – you will not find anybody waiting there).

If lost, call Liliana (Last Virgin) at 861606577.

Lunch will be decided later on. It means one option is the sausages on fire, another option may be the Caucasian Bar not far from the Karaciunai bus stop.

Go along Savanoriu.
Up the hill
Take the Trakai road
Through 2 sets of traffic lights
300 meters after 2nd set, bear right and take the A4 towards Druskininki
Shortly after the 27 kilometer marker, take the road off to the right
signposted "Rudiskes 12"
Follow that road for 8 km, through the village of Bakieriskes, past the
roads to Paluknys and Zeronys
After 8 km on the forest road, there's a camp sign on the right with the
name "Harmonie"
100 meters after the sign, take the small road to the left, as though
going to the camp site.
Bear right, and follow that road for 1 km, over the little bridge,
straight on through the village, and the bbq is at the house on the
right - the one with the red roof

Hello all,

The trail on Sunday was fantastic! An all-female cast turned out for a really supernice trail through the woods and cliffs near the tv tower and some of the views at the top of the cliffs overlooking the river were really spectacular, I certainly enjoyed it. And it was extra good as it didn't rain and although warm, in the trees it was quite fresh! Thanks to Silvertongue for setting the route!

The next trail will be...the one made with ketchup on your plate as it is time for the monthly Irish Breakfast at The Dubliner, Dominikonu 6, 11:30 am onwards. I've booked a table in the name of Needles, but yet again I am out of town, so enjoy!

We have a nice programme for June which I will circulate later, but I am still looking for volunteers for July before we have August off for the summer break.

If you would like to set a trail you don't have to do it alone - either get together in pairs or threes, or just send vilniushhh@gmail.com an email and we can matchmake trail-setters! As a thank you to the hare you don't have to pay the 10Lt for the event you set the trail for (something we've done for a long time but always worth mentioning again!)

Let's meet at 11:15 at the Maxima car park in Karoliniskes, which is next to the Karolina Hotel. It's at the bottom of square H4 on the Vilnius city map.

Public transport: trolleybuses 1 & 3 from the station or Pamenkalnio g. go to Kometa stop. From both stops, you have to cross in an eastwards diretion to the Maxima/hotel. Trolleybus 16 also runs from the station to Karoliniskes stop.

Dear all,

I hope the Sunday breakfast was tasty good! Now is the time to burn off those calories with the next event! The weather is looking good so I hope to see a lot of you there! Here are the directions:

The next hash will take place on Sunday, 4 May in Valakupiu/Turniskes.

It's beyond the end of Antakalnio, and a bit difficult to describe off
the map.....basically in your car you go straight past the bus station
(don't go to Nemencines) and go straight on, crossing the very main
road (Karelviu g joining Milausiaus g). YOU GO STAIGHT ON into
Lizdeikos gatve. After about 300 m this takes a slight bend to the
left, before, after another 500 m or so it naturally turns right and
becomes Vaidilutes gatve. Follow it for about a km and you find a
little carpark, just as the road takes another turn to the right. So
my map tells me.

tough!). I hope to have found it myself by then!

Hello all,

Today's trail was super! It took us up and round a really pretty part of Vilnius at the end of Subacius that I've never seen before. The park had some really nice views and I think I will def hop back to see the Pushkin museum. Thanks for Last Virgin for setting the runners and walkers trails. Hooray! At it didn't rain at all, winner!

We have a week off next week, and then on 27 April it's time for a well-earned Irish Breakfast. Meet at 11:30 at The Dubliner, Dominikonou 6.

This Sunday‘s hash will be in Markuciai.

How to get there:

By public transport: bus No. 10 – to the very end of the bus line,
Markuciai stop. In town the bus stops are at Zaliasis tiltas, Karaliaus
Mindaugo, Arkikatedra.

By car: go straight by Subaciaus street, do not cross the Vilnele River
for Olandu or Batoro street. Still go on straight by an old winding
Subaciaus street. You will see the entrance to Markuciai park. Car

Here's a quick report from Squeaky about last Sunday's event...use the comments section to add any thoughts!

The hash on Sunday at Zverynas set by Silvertongue was brilliant. A lovely day and beautiful scenery. A nice crowd also turned up. We had lunch at a place called Verandah which turned out to be a very pleasant place indeed.

The Hash on 6th April will be in Karoliniskiu Parkas/Slaitas. Let's meet at Zveryno Ziedas, the car park/terminus for buses 11 & 32 on Seliu g. in Zverynas. Ref G6 on the Vilnius city map (if you have the 1:20,000 version as I do).The car park is free but not guarded.

By public transport from town, trolleybuses # 1,3 & 7 and bus #11 from 'Islandijos' stop at the start of Pamenkalnio. They go along Pamenkalnio, over the river & turn right through Zverynas. Then they turn left onto Seliu g. Get off the trolleybus here ('Seliu' stotele), across the road from IKI. Cross, and with IKI on your left head to the car park ~100m up to your left. If you take the bus, stay on till the end of the line, in the car park. (www.vilniustransport.lt for more info - times, etc).

Warsaw Hash is celebrating 25 years of hashing with a long weekend on the 1st May bank holiday weekend (1st May is bank holiday in Poland).

It is with regret that I have decided to resign as blogmaster for the Vilnius HHH. Over the last year I have been discouraged by the lack of support from members of VHHH. Numbers attending HHH activities have fallen & the number of actual Hashes held has dropped.

It has been said often enough on this blog and elsewhere that the Hash cannot expect the same two or three people to do everything. Lots of people come up with ideas about how to improve the Hash numbers.... but no one is prepared to back thier ideas with action.

Kiltman has decided enough is enough.... time for others to take thier share.

HASH 320 - SUNDAY 27th

Next Sunday's Hash is an active hash!

Not one where you sit on your butt piling on the calories, but where
you move it and work off a few, if we have anything to do with it
(before going in and ....)!

So be there!

Meeting time: 11.15 for an 11.30 sharp start
Cars pick up at the bottom of Pilies at 11 sharp (if you miss them,
you can still manage to run to the meeting point)
Cost: a flat 10 LT for drinks, regardless of how much or little you
drink, 5lt for children

Meeting point:
It's the bridge in Zverynas that goes over to Vingio parkas; it's in
Birutes g.. Plenty of car parking spaces. You go on the main route
into Zverynas, and you turn (right or left, depending which direction
you come from) at Moniuszko, or Pusu or Treniotos or Traidenio gatve
and go as far as you can, and you'll see the suspension bridge (if you
don't know what is a suspension bridge think Golden Gate bridge). If
instead you see the Parliament and two bridges you have turned the
wrong way, but Zverynas is not big.

A very Merry Christmas 2007 to all Hashers where ever you may be during the holiday season :) Let's hope the snow forecast for today in Vilnius comes & that at least there is some 'whiteness' over Vilnius on December 25th.

Perhaps now is not the correct time or place to comment but Kiltman would just like to add a few lines about what's missing in the VHHH this Christmas:

1. We had no Christmas Party
2. We have no Boxing Day Hash

Why.....???? No one came forward to volunteering to host, help, plan, encourage or in anyway get involved in arrangements for any of these events.... indeed it seems an ongoing situation through 2007 & on into 2008!!!

There will be a New Year's Hash on Jan 1st at 14:00 in Vingis Park [Kiltman as hare] but beyond that & into 2008 we have nothing.

We want to arrange bowling nights and other things... but if no one comes to the Hash then we have no income.... and if no one volunteers to hare then we have no hash!!!

IT IS YOUR HASH - MAKE IT YOUR RESOLUTION IN 2008 TO CONTRIBUTE, TO PUT SOMETHING BACK & NOT JUST TAKE!!!!

VILNIUS MARATHON 2008

OK.... so VHHH is a 'drinking club with a running problem' or 'a running club with a drinking problem' or neither of those... :) Whatever your description of VHHH the Vilnius Marathon or Vilnius half Marathon makes a great target for 2008. Being held on September 13th 2008 the course winds its merry way round scenic Vilnius....

9 months is plenty of time to prepare for either full or half marathon... decide to enter NOW :)

With the Christmas Season (Festive Season if you are being politically correct) coming & many Hashers going away for the holidays then we thought it's time to start the Hash Breakfast!!

Join us at the DUBLINER at 11:00 on Sunday to enjoy a traditional Irish Breakfast.... eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, hash browns, tea and orange juice.... costs about 30lts all together:)

Highly recommended... a great 'fry up'

More info slowly appearing on Burn's Night. The floor plan above shows the tables on the main floor. We have reserved tables 9 & 10 - so 24 places in total.

The dancing etc takes place on the balcony (up the stairs near our tables).

Contact Barbara as soon as possible if interested. No exact details on the cost of tickets yet... except there is an increase on last years price (2007) but I can't remember how much they were:)

Details arrived from NEEDLES (Sunday's Hare).... look's like an Old Town Hash... or it could go out along the river... only way to find out is to come along:)

Our next hash will be this Sunday, December 9, 2007. It will start at the corner of Subacius g. and Boksto g.,at the fort. 11:30 start running/walking.

Well VH3 Hash 317 is meant to be this weekend (December 3rd) if my calculations are correct - but not heard anything about it so I guess it's not happening:)

Latest rumours are that NEEDLES has volunteered to be hare for a HASH on December 7th... further details as available:)

Kiltman suggest we have our 1st monthly breakfast meeting on Sunday December 14th at 11:00 at the Dubliner. A full traditional breakfast with fresh orange & black tea is around 30 lts. Watch this Space.....

Not sure about our traditional Boxing Day hash.... we need a volunteer to act as hare.

FULL MOON HASH (White Sticky Stuff)

Saturday's Full Moon Hash was well attended by VH3 standards - with around 10 people braving the elements:) It was a horrible wet night & the hardy hashers found it hard to leave the warmth & comfort of Amatininku for the streets of The Old Town.... but being brave fellows we soon entered into the spirit of things & hashed our way past one of our old hunting grounds (Austukai) which looks as though it will soon re-open as a psuedo wine bar (seats don't look as comfortable & there are no obvious barrels for Kiltman to dance on).

On, on we went for our short little hash to pass our drinks stop at a new wine bar on Traku... BoBo... there must be at least 500 bottles of wine on display... but only 1 version of house by the glass... but Czech Budvar & lots of bottled beer:)

From there onto that Irish hotspot called the Dubliner for a bite to eat.... IceHole made an appearance being allowed out from Belerus & Andy & Lena were welcome newcomers to the VH3.... no circle because it was late & we were inside....

PS - forgot to mention the title..... it could either be Kiltman thinking about his breakfast date with ***** from ******** or the fact that flour turns to glue when wet & cheap flour is in very thin bags that disintigrate a first sign of rain:)

An early morning run for 55mins round the forests of Sepagine followed by the reason.... traditional Irish / Scottish / English breakfast at The Dubliner - perfect! Where do they get the bacon from ?

2 fried eggs, 2 sausages, 2 big juicy rashers of bacon, fried tomato, mushrooms & beans.... fresh orange juice and black tea with milk... perfect...

Kiltman suggests it should become a regular once a month Hash meeting... thoughts???

FULL MOON HASH 317 SATURDAY 24th NOVEMBER

Saturday is a Full Moon so time for a gentle Hash.... not a run, not a pub crawl but something in between in and around the Old Town of Vilnius:)

Starting at Amatininku at 19:00 and ending up at the Dubliner for dinner at around 20:30. We'll manage a quick drink stop on the route:)
